Many of the key attributes of Kaynemaile’s architectural mesh – its light weight, remarkable strength and translucency – are made possible by Makrolon® polycarbonate from Covestro. The seamless architectural mesh is produced via a continuous injection molding process resulting in a 3D structure comprised of solid rings. The final product is recyclable, highly durable and resistant to rust.

Kaynemaile’s architectural mesh products are 15 percent of the weight of equivalent stainless steel mesh. This light weight and flexibility enables designers and architects to achieve ambitious designs incorporating curves and organic shapes. Further adding to the design possibilities, the architectural mesh is available in a variety of UV-stabilized colors and custom dimensions.

Kaynemaile offers both interior (Spacemaile™) and exterior (Building-Amour™) architectural solutions. Spacemaile™ screens are suitable for fixed security screening, free-hanging partitions and feature walls. Spacemaile™ has been specified for a range of high profile interiors, including the showroom at Samsung’s Korean headquarters, Nokia’s offices in London, and the Covestro New Zealand head office.

Commercial applications - such as airports, universities and commercial facades – have taken advantage of Building-Armour™. This single-sheet solution can be used for rain and wind screening, façade cladding, solar shading and safety-from-falling balustrading for exterior, high-wear environments.
