Makrolon® 2207 is a high-flow thermoplastic material suitable for thin wall molding and also lends itself to cool, colorful executions. This polycarbonate grade has easy-release properties and is a smart choice for applications that require a durable, heat-stable material.

The intricate but tough protective Snap Shield Perforation case gives iPad 2 users full access to all of the iPad 2’s controls and ports, while providing scratch- and impact-resistant protection.

Weighing 295 g and measuring 21.6 x 1.5 x 28 cm, the grey-colored case features a unique perforated pattern on its back surface. This enables users to swap out different colored inserts (green, blue, pink and orange), so they can easily change the look of their case to match their mood, the season or even their outfit.

By molding the case and its colorful inserts with Makrolon® from Covestro, Belkin International is able to give consumers what they want most: a way to protect and personalize their iPad devices at the same time.

Covestro provided assistance with material selection for the inserts and case. The variety of colors is made possible thanks to Covestro color technologies, and color development support.

iPad 2 is a trademark of Apple Inc.

The main properties of Makrolon® 2207 polycarbonate are:
